AMD Inds To Undertake Rs 6 Crore Worth Of Capex At Its Rajasthan Unit (28-Jul-2010)
AMD Industries has decided to undertake capital expenditure of around Rs 6 crore to augment its capacity by addition of 5th PET Preform Line at the Neemrana manufacturing facility, Rajasthan. The board of the company has approved the proposal for the same at its meeting held on July 28. The new PET Preform Line at the said facility is likely to go on stream from February 2011.
The company has reported a decline of 5.13% in its April-June 2010 quarter net profit at Rs 5.36 crore against Rs 5.65 crore for April-June 2009 quarter. Its total income for the latest quarter, however, has increased by 33.89% to Rs 49.74 crore from Rs 37.15 crore for the year ago period.
AMD Industries is engaged in manufacturing of crown caps, carbonated soft drink (CSD) closures and textiles. It manufactures packaging articles that are used in soft drinks, beverages, water, beer, liquor and pharmaceutical industries.
